Dr. Michael Tornow
Dr. Michael Tornow has been a dentist since 2001, having graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry. Dr. Tornow excelled as a dental student and graduated with high clinical honors. After dental school, Dr. Tornow completed three years of service in the United States Air Force with the first year being a residency program in Advanced Dental Education (Langley AFB, Virginia). As part of this residency, Dr. Tornow became proficient with wisdom teeth removal, I.V. sedation dentistry, dental implants, and advanced crown and bridge techniques. His last two years in the Air Force were spent at Cannon Air Force Base (Clovis, New Mexico).In 2004, Dr. Tornow and his family (wife Ivy and their four children- Sabrina, Saxon, Sage, and Brock) moved to Farmington, New Mexico and started his first dental practice- Country Club Family Dental Care. This practice took off and was extremely successful. As a result, Dr. Tornow brought on additional dentists and opened several new dental practices in Kirtland, Bloomfield, Rio Rancho, and Gallup, New Mexico with his partner dentists. Additional dental offices are planned for New Mexico and Colorado under Sundance Dental & Orthodontics. In addition to his Sundance dental offices, Dr. Tornow has now opened offices in Utah under the name Pony Express Dental.
Dr. Tornow is passionate about dentistry and loves treating patients of all ages. He represents the American Dental Association (ADA) as a volunteer speaker at dental schools throughout the United States. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor at the San Juan College Hygiene Program. He maintains membership in several organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), the Academy of LDS Dentists, the Dick Barnes/Arrowhead Dental Group, the New Mexico Dental Association, and the Northwest New Mexico Dental Society.
In 2012, Dr. Tornow completed the Clinical “hands-on” Mastery Program with Arrowhead Dental Lab under the tutelage of Dr. Jim Downs. Dr. Tornow is very comfortable treating patients with advanced dental problems and giving them the smile they have always dreamed of having.
Dr. Tornow is also engaged in the community by refereeing high school soccer games, volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, and being an active member of the LDS church.

Dr. Dallin DeLoach
Dr. Dallin DeLoach studied biology at Southern Utah University prior to pursuing his dental degree. Upon completing his undergrad, Dr. DeLoach graduated dental school with honors from Roseman University of Health Sciences, where he received the “Distinguished Patient-Centered Care Award” for providing outstanding care to his patients. He served as president of the Endodontics Club and vice-president of the Oral Surgery Club during his tenure. His favorite time spent in school, though, was serving others on humanitarian trips that he made to Mexico and Ecuador.
As a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Gordon Christensen International Study Club, Dr. DeLoach is passionate about staying current on the latest technology offered in dentistry to be able to provide the highest quality care possible. His training includes all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. DeLoach is married to his high school sweetheart, Devyn Fowles DeLoach. He is also the lucky dad of two beautiful daughters, Skylar and Drew. They reside in Eagle Mountain and enjoy being active in their community and church. In Dr. DeLoach’s free time, you might find him fly fishing, at the golf course, or enjoying the great outdoors!
Dr. Jared Schmutz
Dr. Schmutz is a native of Southern Utah, having grown up in the beautiful red hills of Kanab. He accepted a call to serve a two-year mission for the LDS Church in Sydney, Australia. Upon returning from his mission, he completed his undergraduate studies in biology with a minor in chemistry at Southern Utah University in 2003. He was accepted into the dental program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he graduated with high honors in 2007 and received the Dental Implant Research Award.
After dental school, Dr. Schmutz and his family moved to Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he completed four years of active duty service as a Captain and dentist in the United States Army. During this time, he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Schmutz has been in private practice since completing his active duty service in 2011. He practiced in Oregon, New Mexico and now Utah.
Dr. Schmutz is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He enjoys continuing his knowledge in dentistry with a passion for dental implants, root canal therapy and wisdom teeth extractions. He is also pleased to be able to offer his patients IV moderate sedation to help them to be more comfortable during dental procedures.
Dr. Schmutz enjoys caring for the dental needs of his community and studying dentistry, history and science. He loves spending time with his wife, Adrianne, and their four daughters, Grace, Stella, Ruby and Juliet. Together they enjoy camping and hiking in the great outdoors, and hangin’ at home playing games and working together.
Dr. Tom Chamberlain
Dr. Chamberlain is originally from Reno, NV. At an early age he moved to Provo, UT, where he attended high school and college at Brigham Young University (BYU). He received his B.S. in psychology with a minor in musical theatre. Dr. Chamberlain then attended Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in Portland, OR, receiving his D.M.D. with honors in 2000. He then completed a full time two-year residency program at OHSU in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics. Dr. Chamberlain loves the specialty of orthodontics and has completed thousands of cases.
In 2002, Dr. Chamberlain founded Chamberlain Orthodontics in Chandler, AZ. The practice grew quickly, and he soon opened three additional orthodontic offices across Chandler, Phoenix and Glendale, AZ. Since opening his practice, Dr. Chamberlain has won multiple honors, including the Phoenix Business Journal’s Small Business of the Year award in 2017 and the Chandler Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year award in 2018. He has been listed as a top orthodontist in the Phoenix area since 2004, and his combined practices are the highest-reviewed orthodontic offices in the Phoenix area.
Dr. Chamberlain has established Pony Express Orthodontics in Eagle Mountain and Daybreak, UT. He hopes to instill the same principles of excellence, on-time scheduling and treatment, and giving back to the community, including the underprivileged and schools.
Dr. Chamberlain is the author of two books, one of which he was able to write alongside one of his mentors, Brian Tracy, and became a business best-seller.
Outside of work, Dr. Chamberlain enjoys spending time with his family. He also loves to ski, hike and ride mountain bikes. Both Dr. Chamberlain and his wife, Tamara, are avid supporters of the fine arts. Tamara is currently on faculty at BYU in the dance department. Having toured professionally, he and his wife love to be performing on stage.
Dr. Andy Ingersoll
Dr. Andy Ingersoll grew up enjoying the outdoors and sports in American Fork. Dr Andy attended Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in French.
Dental school sent Andy and his family to Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended Case School of Dental Medicine from 2006 to 2010. In dental school, he was awarded the Deans Clinical Achievement Award for being one of the top clinicians in his dental class. Andy received a Health Services Scholarship from the United States Air Force while in dental school and commissioned as an officer in the USAF in 2007. Following graduation, he accepted a position in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. The AEGD strengthened Andy’s skills in advanced dental procedures.
Following residency, the Air Force transferred the Ingersoll family to England. They served a three-year tour at RAF Lakenheath, near Cambridge, United Kingdom. Andy enjoyed his career in the Air Force and contributed greatly to the mission of the 48th Dental Squadron. He managed programs in emergency response, community outreach and education, preventive dentistry, and forensic dentistry and supported the specialists when manning was low. He particularly enjoyed his time in the pediatric clinic, where he developed a love of working with children. The Ingersoll family loved traveling around the United Kingdom and Europe and will forever remember their time “across the pond.”
Upon completion of his Air Force commitment in 2014, Dr. Ingersoll joined forces with his England dental colleagues in North Carolina, where he practiced general dentistry for two years.
Dr Ingersoll wanted to pursue additional training in pediatric dentistry. He was fortunate to be accepted into the pediatric dental residency program at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. He completed his specialty training in June of 2018.
Andy and Lauren have five children (three girls and two boys) that have been born all around the world. Andy and Lauren love playing sports, hiking, biking and raising their kids together in the home, woods and community. They love serving others in the community (scouts, sports and in reaching out to the needy) and in their church.
Dr. Forest Hulet
Dr. Hulet was born and raised in Idaho, where he practically grew up in the outdoors. From backpacking to whitewater rafting, he loves outdoor recreation. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree. Then, for dental school, Dr. Hulet attended Creighton University, where he graduated with the some of the highest academic and service awards offered there. After Dental school, he completed the Salt Lake City VA Hospital’s General Practice Residency, where he trained in advanced clinical procedures. Dr. Hulet loves being a dentist, because he gets to work with his hands to help people. As a new member of the Pony Express Dental team, he is excited to serve the Draper community.
Dr. David Smith
Dr. David Smith graduated from Brigham Young University and then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. While taking shelter from tornados, he joined the United States Army, graduated, and moved to Tennessee where he pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Campbell, KY. With the fighting force of America behind him, he was able to refine his skills in wisdom teeth removal, complicated crown and bridge cases, implant placement and restoration, and various surgical procedures. Dr. Smith was able to acquire unique skill sets and experience with CAD/CAM dentistry, and has an enthusiasm for advancing technologies. After completing a two year assignment at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Dr. Smith and his family have spent the last three years in Oahu, Hawaii, working at Schofield Barracks and soaking up the salty air, turquoise crystal blue waters, and the cool tradewinds of the islands. What a soft place to land and end his career serving the US Army.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Smith cherishes his time with his wife, Nina, his two boys, Breckin and Shepard, and his daughter, Juna. He is passionate about sports, outdoor adventures, and mostly improving his relationships with his precious family. He also enjoys serving in his church and community.
Dr. Smith is thankful to be back home where mountains and kin reside. He is excited to serve the people of Utah as a team player at Pony Express Dental.

Kari – Dental Hygienist
Kari is from southern Utah and has a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Dixie State University. She has been practicing dental hygiene for six years. She enjoys traveling, biking, and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite parts of working in a dental office are the people she meets and the patient care she is able to provide. Kari is friendly and caring and strives to help her patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental health, and provide a safe environment where they can return and refer!
Marisa – Dental Hygienist
Marisa has been working as a dental hygienist for seven years. Having had a lot of dental work done while growing up, she knows what it feels like to be the one in the chair and to be nervous at the dentist’s office. Those experiences have shaped her into the gentle and friendly hygienist that she is today. Her favorite part about being a hygienist is all the people that she gets to meet every day and help make sure they have a good experience at the dentist. Some of her hobbies include running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Jill – Dental Hygienist
Jill has been working as a dental hygienist for over 7 years. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is getting the opportunity to meet such wonderful people and making them smile. She strives to make her patients feel comfortable a have a great dental experience. She has a beautiful 9-year-old daughter and a cute little schnauzer. In her free time, she enjoys being with family & friends, traveling and loves the outdoors (hiking, playing soccer, and razor riding in the dunes).
Hailee – Dental Hygienist
Hailee is from Southern Idaho. She received her Associate in Dental Hygiene from the College of Southern Idaho, and is very interested in continuing education to remain current in all new technologies to better treat her patients. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
